As a Funeral Specialist at Everpet, this role is hands‑on, physical, and operations‑driven. You will play a vital part of the workflow, ensuring every step behind the scenes is executed safely, accurately, and professionally. Your core responsibility is to handle the operational processes, working primarily with equipment, logistics, preparation, and movement of pets with respect, discretion, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Pet Transfers & Collection: Handle pickup and safe transportation of pets from homes, clinics or hospitals with professionalism and empathy; ensure proper documentation, tagging, chain‑of‑custody for every case.
• Water Cremation & Post‑cremation Processing: Operate water cremation equipment following SOPs for safety, quality, dignity; handle remains respectfully, dry bones, prepare ashes and bone fragments for final placement.
• Pet Preparation: Grooming and cleaning of the pet.
• Memorial Room Preparation: Set up memorial room per care specialist and family requests, including flowers, urns, lighting, and ceremonial arrangements; assist private family farewells or rituals.
• Aftercare & Ash Return: Prepare ashes, keepsakes, certificates for collection/delivery; conduct handovers and delivery with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Facility Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of work areas, equipment, vehicles; conduct basic maintenance and ensure equipment readiness; regular deep cleaning of crematorium equipment.
• Team Collaboration: Work in a team to support services, ceremonies, daily operations; assist care specialist with funeral arrangements; uphold Everpet’s standards of empathy, detail, excellence.
• Others: Ensure proper records and documentation; assist operations admin such as printing tribute photos, preparing pet food offerings; perform any other ad hoc tasks as required.

Salary Package

Basic salary from $2800 – $3200 + overtime pay.

Requirements

• Possesses a valid Class 3/3A driving licence (required).
• Able to perform manual tasks and comfortable handling pets of all sizes.
• Responsible, punctual, meticulous in following procedures.
• Compassionate and emotionally grounded when dealing with grieving families.
• Prior experience in logistics, animal handling, or funeral operations is advantageous.
• Willingness to work on a rotation basis including weekends & public holidays.
• Willingness to be on night standby for pickup activation.
• Love animals deeply and understand the bond between pets & humans.
