Job content
Community Psychology Hub (CPH) is collaborating with the Agency of Integrated Care (AIC) for clinical psychologists to take on roles within the Community Intervention Team (COMIT) and Youth Integrated Team (YIT) programmes. COMIT is multi-disciplinary team that provides holistic services for clients 18 years old and onwards, with mental health conditions including dementia, and their caregivers. YIT supports youths from 12-25 years old, and their caregivers, with their mental health conditions.
You will be deployed to a social service agency (SSA) managing a COMIT or YIT team on a 3-year contract to work in a multi-disciplinary setting. During this deployment, you will receive training and supervision from CPH to equip you with the skillsets to provide psychological assessments and interventions for clients in the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Psychological Assessments- Conduct psychological assessments, including standardised tests
- Prepare assessment reports
- Deliver Intervention- Work in a multi-disciplinary team comprising other allied health professionals to implement evidence-based psychological interventions, as well as to conduct home visits when necessary
- Provide psychoeducation and case management for clients and their caregivers
- Build stakeholder relationships or capacity- Provide evidence-based input for programme improvements
- Provide consultation for families, caregivers and other stakeholders
- Uplift professional practice in psychology- Support SSA’s mental health public education and community outreach
- Provide consultation to other allied health professionals
- Others- Assist in the planning and implementation of SSA/CPH activities as assigned
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer or Management
- Self-development- Attend CPH/SSA endorsed training/workshops/seminars so as to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Receive supervision from CPH supervisor as part of professional development
- Commit to learning about evidence informed practices and ethical and clinical guidelines
Requirements
- Educational qualifications and work experience- A recognised Masters’ degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university. The programme must include a supervised practicum and supervised training in psychological assessment and intervention.
- Be eligible for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) (Full Membership) and Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP)
- Experience- 3-4 years of relevant experience working with adult or youth clients with mental health issues
- (Preferred) Familiarity or prior working experience in the social service sector
- Other qualities- Strong intrapersonal and interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Adaptable to changing circumstances
- (Preferred) Fluency in local languages
