Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Dismantling

• Assemble and disassemble tower cranes, mobile cranes, and other heavy-lift machinery at job sites.
• Install mast sections, turntables, jibs, counterweights, and climbing frames.
• Perform jacking up or jacking down operations for tower cranes using hydraulic jacking systems.

Inspection and Testing

• Conduct pre-erection inspections of crane parts and lifting gear.
• Ensure proper alignment and torqueing of bolts and structural connections.
• Assist in load testing and function checks as required.

Safety Compliance

• Follow risk assessment, safe work procedures (SWP), and fall protection protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all MOM and site-specific safety rules.
• Report safety incidents, hazards, or equipment defects immediately.

Team Coordination

• Work closely with riggers, signalmen, crane operators, and site supervisors.
• Interpret crane manuals, drawings, and engineering plans accurately.
• Communicate clearly during lifting and installation activities.

Documentation

• Complete crane erection checklists and handover documents.
• Maintain accurate logs of work activities, inspections, and non-conformities.
