Wheelchair Transport Driver

Description

The Wheelchair Transport Driver operates Bigfoot Medicare’s wheelchair transport vehicles, ensuring the safe, timely, and compassionate transfer of patients to and from healthcare facilities or residences.

A. Operational Tasks

• Operate the assigned medical transport vehicle safely and professionally, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company SOPs.

• Provide a caring and professional transport service to all patients.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks in accordance with SOPs, verifying that the vehicle is clean, road-worthy, and properly equipped.

• Ensure safe use and handling of all transport aids — stretchers, carry chairs, wheelchairs, clamps, and seat belts — with patient safety as the highest priority.

• Transport patients between hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers, and residences.

• Assist patients safely in and out of the vehicle, applying correct reaching, lifting, and manual-handling techniques using appropriate equipment.

B. Safety & Compliance

• Adhere strictly to all Standard Operating Procedures, infection-control, and

hygiene protocols.

• Immediately report any vehicle defect, malfunction, or safety concern to the direct supervisor.

• Observe the Highway Code and company road-safety rules, maintaining full attention to safe-driving practices.

• Ensure compliance with all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and participate in mandatory toolbox briefings and safety meetings.

• Report any incident, accident, or damage immediately to your supervisor and follow all subsequent instructions.

Requirements:

• Valid Singapore's Class 3 driver's license
• Minimum 3 years of driving experiences
• BDVL, CPR+AED/BCLS certified
