About the Role
For our client we are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Manager, Supply Chain to lead the end-to-end supply chain operations across procurement, planning, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and supplier management functions.
This role will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, improving inventory performance, strengthening supplier partnerships, optimising logistics operations, and leading strategic supply chain initiatives to support business growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, strategic planning experience, and deep operational knowledge within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the full spectrum of Supply Chain operations including Procurement, Material Planning, Inventory Control, Warehousing, Logistics, and Distribution activities
- Develop and implement Supply Chain strategies, policies, SOPs, and operational processes aligned with business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage end-to-end supply chain functions including demand forecasting, procurement planning, inventory optimisation, warehouse management, transportation coordination, and logistics operations
- Drive forecast accuracy and material planning strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimise excess stock, reduce material wastage, and maintain supply continuity
- Lead supplier sourcing, supplier qualification, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, supplier performance management, and commercial agreement discussions
- Oversee warehouse operations including space utilisation, inventory accuracy, stock management, cycle counts, stock-taking processes, and discrepancy resolution
- Evaluate and manage relationships with freight forwarders, logistics providers, transportation vendors, and external service providers
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, warehouse operational standards, and material handling procedures
- Identify, initiate, and implement supply chain improvement projects to improve operational efficiency, cost optimisation, productivity, and service delivery levels
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments including Operations, Production, Engineering, Finance, QA, and Management teams
- Lead, mentor, and develop Supply Chain, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to strengthen operational capabilities and drive performance
- Support business continuity planning, supply risk management, and operational contingency strategies
- Prepare management reports, KPI tracking, inventory analysis, supplier performance reviews, and operational performance metrics
- Perform additional duties and operational projects assigned by Management
Requirements
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant Supply Chain experience with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong experience in Supply Chain Management within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, semiconductor, precision engineering, electronics, medical device, or production environments preferred

- Experience with ERP systems, MRP systems, WMS, inventory systems, or SAP preferred
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong leadership and people management experience with the ability to manage cross-functional operational teams
