You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Google is transforming how hyper-scale data centers are planned, designed, and built from custom, stick-built, multi-year construction monoliths to manufactured, modular, just-in-time deployments of fungible capacity. The Product Development and Insertion (PDI) organization under Data Center Technology and Systems (DCTS) is the execution arm of the development of such fungible capacity. PDI, working alongside the different pillars within DCTS, drives and provides ownership of the various products and programs that will enable the future modular technology for Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Execute scope for the cross-functional product development of new products and programs. Guide products through the product life cycle process.
• Work with the partner teams across data centers, with supply chain, construction and execution teams, hardware and software operations to help execute product insertions.
• Lead the Site Intercept process, assess specific data center sites for their ability to adopt emerging design configurations. Align, plan and deliver Data Center design delivery.
• Develop and execute Tech Insertion Cut-In Framework that defines the "Point of No Return" for design changes based on construction schedules and supply chain lead times.
• Orchestrate cross-functional efforts, provide executive decision support, and refine processes to accelerate time-to-decision. Execute scope for cross-functional product development of new products and programs, stretching to address undefined challenges with limited guidance.
